Both Manitoba and Saskatchewan Have Passed a Vaccine Milestone.

Manitoba public health reported 136 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend bringing the five day test positivity rate to 4.5 percent.  They also reported five additional deaths with four in Winnipeg region and one in Interlake Eastern.  Of the new cases 59 are in Northern health, 52 in Winnipeg region and 14 in Southern health with single digits in other regions.  Of the total 32,743 reported cases 891 are considered active, 30,935 individuals have recovered and 148 are in hospital with 23 in intensive care.  Over the weekend Manitoba passed the 100 thousand mark in vaccinations administered.

             

Meanwhile Saskatchewan health reported 251 new cases over the weekend bringing the seven day average of daily new cases to 130.  They also reported three deaths with one each in Saskatoon, Regina and Far North West.  Of the new cases 91 are in Regina, 41 in Saskatoon and 28 in Central East with lower numbers in other zones including 14 in Far North East.  Of the 30,620 reported cases 1399 are considered active, 28, 814 people have recovered and 131 are in hospital with 29 in intensive care.  Saskatchewan also passed the 100 thousand vaccinations milestone over the weekend.
