A Proposed Plan Has Been Put on Hold.

At the Flin Flon School Board meeting Tuesday evening each member took the opportunity to voice their decision regarding proposed changes to the K to 8 schools.  Trustees read through all the comments and appreciated the feedback whether it was for or against the proposed changes.  They noted COVID has been extremely difficult for students, parents and teaching staff and unfortunately will still be a factor in September.  The motion for proposed changes was defeated by a vote of five to two.  The Board felt now is not the right time and it was not an easy decision and will need to look at this more thoroughly.  Ultimately all decisions made put the needs of students first. So Ruth Betts remains a K to 8 school and Ecole McIsaac remains K to 8 and the only English and French immersion school.
