Vaccines are Coming to Flin Flon and The Pas for Eligible Residents.

Manitoba public health reports pop-up clinics will launch next week in rural and northern Manitoba communities for people who meet current provincial eligibility standards.  That includes individuals aged 80 and older or First Nations people aged 60 or older.  Their briefing notes indicate the clinics will be in Flin Flon March 19th and 26th from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm at the Flin Flon Community Hall and The Pas March 24th and 31st from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm at the Roy H. Johnston Arena. Appointments are required and can be made through the provincial call centre beginning tomorrow at 1-844-626-8222.  Callers should have their health cards available to make their appointment. When you call specifty Flin Flon Community Hall not just Flin Flon. The initial two week schedule is available online at www.manitoba.ca/vaccine and will be regularly updated.

             

Manitoba public health reported 71 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the five day test positivity rate to 3.8 percent.  They also reported one death in the Winnipeg region.  Of the new cases 36 are in the Northern health region and 24 in Winnipeg with single digits in other regions.
