The Test Positivity Rate in Manitoba Continues to Fall and the Average of New Cases Has Dipped in Saskatchewan.

Manitoba health reported 138 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend bringing the five day test positivity rate down to 3.7 percent.  They also reported six additional deaths all in Winnipeg region.  Of the new cases 58 are in the Northern health region and 55 in Winnipeg region with single digits in other regions.  Of the total 31,859 reported cases 1194 are active, 29,770 individuals have recovered and 192 are in hospital with 26 in intensive care.

             

Meanwhile Saskatchewan health reported 303 new cases over the weekend bringing the seven day average of daily new cases to 146.  Of the new cases 71 are in Regina, 61 in Saskatoon and 43 in Far North West with lower numbers in other zones including 19 in Far North East.  Of the total 28,647 reported cases 1543 are considered active, 26,719 individuals have recovered and 154 are in hospital with 19 in intensive care.  They reported five deaths on Saturday with three in Regina and one each in Saskatoon and South East with none reported yesterday.
