The committee’s Al McLauchlin reports the Jimmy Jackfish Ice Fishing Derby will be going ahead this year but it will be done virtually. He explains you go on your Smartphone and you download an app called Fish Donkey and then what you do starting at the first of March until the 14th of March is you catch a fish and you take some pictures of it against a bunk board, you take a video of it being released and then you enter that fish on the Fish Donkey app and then you see where you sit on the leader board.
It costs 40 dollars to enter the Derby and it has been expanded to include all fishing areas north of the 53rd parallel.
