Intensive Care Cases Are Going Down in Saskatchewan and Up Slightly in Manitoba.

Manitoba public heath announced 153 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend bringing the five day test positivity rate to 5.3 percent.  They also reported five additional deaths with four in Winnipeg and one in Southern health.  Of the new cases 84 are in the Northern health region and 55 in Winnipeg with single digits in other regions.  Of the total 31,386 reported cases 1180 are active, 29,322 individuals have recovered and 208 are in hospital with 31 in intensive care.

           

Meanwhile Saskatchewan health announced 375 new cases bringing the seven day average of daily new cases to 153.  They also reported seven additional deaths with two each in Regina and North West and one each in North Central, South East and South Central zones. Of the new cases 134 are in Regina and 74 in Saskatoon zone with lower numbers in other zones including 32 in Far North East.  Of the total 27,620 reported cases 1670 are considered active, 25,578 individuals have recovered and 176 are in hospital with 13 in intensive care.
