COVID Issues Are Being Dealt With in Cross Lake Manitoba While Vaccines Administered Approach 50 Thousand in Saskatchewan.

Manitoba public health reported 178 new cases of COVID-19 Saturday and Sunday bringing the five day test positivity rate to 5.2 percent.  There will be no report sent on Monday. They also reported four additional deaths with five in Winnipeg and one in Interlake Eastern.  Of the new cases 83 were in the Northern region and 73 in Winnipeg with lower numbers in other regions.  Of the total 30,766 reported cases 1619 are active, 28,276 individuals have recovered and 226 are in hospital with 26 in intensive care.  Public health, Chief and Council in Cross Lake are working to address concerning number of cases in the community.

             

Meanwhile Saskatchewan reported 405 new cases bringing the seven day average of daily new cases to 163.  They also reported four additional deaths with two in Saskatoon and one each in Central East and North West.  Of the new cases 118 were in Saskatoon, 86 in Regina and 46 in North West with lower numbers in other zones included 16 in Far North East.  Of the total 26,550 reported cases 1864 are considered active, 24,330 people have recovered and 183 are in hospital with 19 in intensive care.  The total number of vaccines administered is 49,645.
