Lights, Retirement, Snow and Signs Were Brought Up At the Creighton Council Meeting.

At their regular meeting earlier this week the Town of Creighton receive a letter requesting lighting be erected at the far two ends of the walking oval to make it feel safer.  Council moved to send the request to Recreation and Cultural Service for further discussion.  Council also moved to accept the letter of retirement from Wayne Patience effective this coming July 31st.  Wayne has been with the Town for twenty-nine years.  Council thanked him for his service and loyalty to his community.

             

The Town foreman’s report for January was accepted.  The report included the installation of no parking signs on First Street East across from the provincial building, ongoing snow removal from streets and sidewalks, removal of snow piles along the freeway, repairs to equipment and Stittco repairing the unit heaters at the Water Treatment Plan and Centennial Building.

             

In closing Council approved the hiring of two supervisors for the BMX and rollerblading programs at the Sportex.
