Superintendent Tammy Ballantyne reported earlier this week students will be off next week Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  Division staff are excited to be participating in a virtual professional development session with former NHL star and now motivational and inspiring speaker Theoren Fluery as well as Kim Barthel who is a much sought after speaker, best-selling author and an award winning occupational therapist.

This week is staff appreciation week and the Board extends a thank you to all who work within the Division for your dedication in providing a learning opportunity for the students.  Board Chair Murray Skeavington reminds parents who have children going into kindergarten to register with your school as soon as possible.  As February is I Love to Read Month for those on Facebook McIssac School is doing a reading every night with one Trustee already reading and another coming up.  The Division has just started working on preparing for the public budget meeting.  Parents are asked to keep tables on the Division’s social media pages for ways to have input when the day comes for the meeting.
