The Manitoba government has provided an update on ongoing enforcement efforts to protect people from the spread of COVID-19.  For the week of January 25th to 31st 159 warnings and 56 tickets were issued.  That included 42 – 1296 dollar tickets to individuals for various offences with 31 of those in relation to gatherings in private residences or outdoors and 14 tickets to individuals for failure to wear a mask in indoor places.  They note all retail establishments are now open for business provided they maintain physical distancing and occupancy limits and enforcement officials continue to work with these businesses to provide guidance and the majority of interactions are educational in nature.

Since enforcement efforts began in April a total of 2758 warnings and 899 tickets have been issued resulting in more than 1.2 million dollars in fines to businesses and individuals.
