Statistics Canada will conduct the next census in May and is staffing 32 thousand jobs across Canada to collect crucial data that will be used to plan for the future.  Schools, housing and health and emergency services are all planned using census data.  Census procedures have been redesigned to ensure the safety of respondents and census employees with all equipment required provided by Statcan and employees will work close to home in their local communities.  The rate of pay varies by position from $17.83 to $21.77 per hour plus authorized expenses, you must be available to work flexible hours mainly during evenings and weekends, start and end dates vary by position and location but are between March and July and you must be 18 or older.
