New Cases of COVID-19 were in the Four to Five Hundred Range in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

Manitoba public health reported 438 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend bringing the five day test positivity rate to 10.6 percent.  They also reported six additional deaths with five in Winnipeg and one in Prairie Mountain health.  Of the new cases 233 are in the Northern health region and 111 in Winnipeg with lower numbers in other regions. The total number of active cases in the Flin Flon, Snow Lake, Cranberry Portage and Sherridon district is listed as 14.  Of the total 28,697 reported cases 3521 are active, 24,377 individuals have recovered and 278 are in hospital with 42 in intensive care.

             

Meanwhile Saskatchewan health reported 534 new cases bringing the seven day average of daily new cases to 272.  They also reported six additional deaths with two each in Regina and Far North East zones and one each in North Central and Far North West.  Of the new cases 123 are in Saskatoon, 93 in North West, 83 in Regina and 76 in Far North West with lower numbers in other zones including 19 in Far North East.  Of the total 22,177 reported cases 3251 are considered active, 18,673 individuals have recovered and 196 are in hospital with 32 in intensive care.
