Recoveries from COVID-19 Hit 18 Thousand in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan health reported 227 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the seven day daily average to 286.  They also reported thirteen additional deaths with eight in Saskatoon, two in North Central and one each in Far North Central, Far North East and South East zones.  Of the new cases 62 were in Saskatoon, 50 in Regina and lower numbers in other zones including seven in Far North East.  Of the total 21,338 reported cases 3,099 are considered active, 18 thousand individuals have recovered and 197 people are in hospital with 31 in intensive care.

             

Almost 30 thousand people have received the vaccine including a range of communities across rural and northern Saskatchewan completing the administration of the first dose for long term care homes in more than 40 communities.
