The Salvation Army is More Prepared to Help Those in Need.

The Salvation Army Flin Flon church is now the owner of an emergency disaster vehicle known as a Critical Response Vehicle.  Major Al Bain says their focus includes any disasters in the north. He explains they will be using it to deliver bag lunches throughout the community Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and it could be used to provide food and beverages at community functions outdoors and be available for emergency disasters, fires or floods in northern Manitoba to provide food and beverages to victims, volunteers and disaster services personnel.

Major Bain adds the Salvation Army is providing free training courses on Zoom for those who choose to volunteer their services related to emergency disasters.  Anyone interested can call them at 204-687-7812.
