The Lynn Lake Region is a COVID Concern while Saskatchewan Numbers Remain High.

Manitoba public health reported over the weekend 369 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the five day test positivity rate to 10.4 percent.  They also reported ten additional deaths with eight in the Winnipeg region and one each in the Southern and Northern regions.  Of the new cases 164 are in the Northern region and 148 in Winnipeg with lower numbers in other regions. Of the total 27,511 reported cases 3081 are active, 23,661 have recovered and 292 are in hospital with 39 in intensive care.  The Lynn Lake region reports a total of 127 active cases and on Saturday an outbreak was declared at the Lynn Lake hospital which has been moved to the critical or red zone.

             

Saskatchewan health reported 557 new cases over the weekend bringing the seven day average of daily new cases to 308.  They also reported five additional deaths with three in Regina and one each in the Far North West and North Central zones.  Of the new cases 162 are in Saskatoon, 84 in Regina and 70 in the North West zone with lower numbers in other zones including 25 in the Far North East.  Of the total 20,272 reported cases 4121 are considered active, 15,936 individuals have recovered and 203 are in hospital with 33 in intensive care.
