New Restrictions Will Come to Saskatchewan Without Lower Case Numbers.

Saskatchewan health reported 312 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the seven day average of daily new cases to 313.  They were no new deaths to report.  Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Saqib Shahab says we really have to stay the course with the public health measures. He explains if we continue to see cases as high as this week he will be speaking with the Minister of Health Mr. Merriman about additional measures which may be required next week and this is really a critical time for us so really try to bring our numbers down just as we did in December.

Of the new cases 99 are in Saskatoon, 51 in Regina and 39 in North Central with lower numbers in other zones including 29 in Far North East.  Of the total 19,329 cases reported 3859 are considered active, 15,264 have recovered and 206 are in hospital with 33 in intensive care.
