New COVID-19 Cases Reported in Manitoba Have Dropped Below One Hundred and Saskatchewan Numbers Have Dropped.

Manitoba public health reported 90 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon with a five day test positivity rate of 10.1 percent. They also reported eight additional deaths with five in Winnipeg region and one each in Interlake Eastern, Prairie Mountain and Northern Health regions. Of the new cases 44 are in Winnipeg region, 22 in Prairie Mountain health and single digits in other regions including nine in the Northern health region.  Of the total 26,540 confirmed cases 3100 are active, 22,692 individuals have recovered and 302 are in hospital with 35 in intensive care.

             

Saskatchewan health reported 248 new cases this afternoon bringing the seven day average of new cases to 321.  They also reported five additional deaths with two in Regina and one each in the Far North West, North West and South West zones. Of the new cases 53 are in Saskatoon, 37 in Regina, 30 in North West, 26 in North Central and 20 in Far North East with lower numbers in other zones.  Of the total 18,770 reported cases 3752 are considered active, 14,814 have recovered and 191 are in hospital with 21 in intensive care.
