COVID Case Numbers in Saskatchewan Remain High in Several Zones.

Saskatchewan health reported 412 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the seven day average of new cases up to 307.  They also reported eight additional deaths with two in Regina and one each in six other zones.  Of the new cases 142 are in Saskatoon, 102 in North West, 95 in North Central, 88 in Regina, 80 in Far North East, 47 in South East, 33 in Far North West and lower numbers in other zones. Of the 18,522 reported cases 3735 are considered active, 14,588 individuals have recovered and 197 are in hospital with 31 in intensive care.

             

The government reports they have purchased 18 thousand face shields and four million disposable masks which are being shipped directly to the province’s 27 school divisions and 26 independent schools throughout this week.
