A Medical Officer of Health for the Northern Health Region Doctor William Libich has spoken on the current COVID-19 Vaccines.  He wants ensure everyone the vaccines currently approved are safe and explains the reason behind vaccine hesitancy. He says people want to make the best decision possible to protect themselves and their families, they want to feel comfortable that a health intervention such as immunization is safe and they want to know that the vaccines will also help them, that it’s necessary so when you have a new vaccine for a new disease that is always going to leave some individuals with some doubt and when people have doubt they choose to do nothing.  He emphasizes no serious safety concerns related to the vaccines have been found so far, there are common side effects that are to be expected with any vaccine including these and serious allergic events are very rare so its one of the reasons that after the immunization they monitor them.
