The year end totals are in for last year at the Flin Flon Recycling Centre. Administrator Deb Odegaard says it’s great to have another increase in the number of tonnes they recycle. She reports they recycled 18.7 more metric tons than in 2019 so a total of 538 for this year and most of that was corrugated cardboard. She adds they also recycled 25 tonnes of electronics, 46 boxes of household batteries which is equal to about 896 kilograms and hazardous waste they have at the landfill and they have paint and fluorescent bulbs at the Recycling Centre so they sent 12 tubskids of paint, 13 barrels of other hazardous material and 96 boxes of fluorescent bulbs.
