A COVID Outbreak Has Been Declared Over in Flin Flon and Vaccinations are Taking Place in Far North Saskatchewan.

Manitoba public health reported 130 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon with a five day test positivity rate of 10.7 percent.  They also reported seven related deaths with six in the Winnipeg health region and one in Southern health.  Of the new cases 77 are in the Winnipeg region, 19 in Northern health and 17 in Interlake Eastern with single digits in other regions. Of the total 25,374 reported cases 4427 are active, 20,252 individuals have recovered and 339 are in hospital with 40 in intensive care.  The outbreak at the Northern Lights Manor in Flin Flon has been declared over.

             

Saskatchewan health reported 153 new cases this afternoon.  They also reported five related deaths with two in the Regina zone and one each in North Central, North East and South Central zones.  Of the new cases 39 are in Regina, 33 in Saskatoon, 14 in North Central and 13 each in North West and Central East with single digits in other zones.  Of the 16,520 reported cases 3,057 are considered active, 13,298 individuals have recovered and 166 are in hospital with 31 in intensive care.  Vaccination of long term care residents and health providers began in the Far North West and Far North Central zones yesterday.
