Saskatchewan is Back to High COVID Numbers While Related Deaths Approach 300 In Manitoba.

Saskatchewan Health reported 675 new cases of COVID-19 over Saturday and Sunday. Of that total 252 were in the Saskatoon zone, 108 in Regina, 73 in North West, 67 in North Central with lower numbers in other zones including 15 in the Far North East zone.  Of the total 6473 cases reported 2683 are considered active, 3757 have recovered, 99 are in hospital with 19 in intensive care and related deaths remain at 33.

             

Meanwhile Manitoba Public Health reported 603 new cases of COVID-19 over Saturday and Sunday with a five day test positivity rate of 13.7 percent.  They also reported 22 deaths with 19 in Winnipeg, and one each in the Northern, Southern and Prairie Mountain Regions bringing total related deaths to 299. Of the total new cases 353 are in the Winnipeg Region, 143 in Southern Health with lower numbers in other regions including 62 in the Northern Health Region.  Of the total 13,544 reported cases 8122 are considered active, 5193 people have recovered and 288 are in hospital with 52 in intensive care.
