Reported Cases of COVID-19 Have Topped Five Thousand in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan Health reported 181 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon.  The cases are again spread across the province with the larger numbers including Saskatoon with 41, Regina 32, North Central 18, South West 17 and the Far North East with 16 new cases.  Of the total 5182 reported cases 1928 are considered active, 3223 people have recovered and 68 are in hospital with 16 in intensive care.

Meanwhile the President of the Saskatchewan Union of Nurses has called for the temporary shutdown of some businesses to slow the spread of COVID-19 noting nurses in Saskatoon are feeling exhausted and frustrated by the increase in cases that has more people entering hospital.  Premier Scott Moe has indicated more health measures are under consideration.  Current measures can be found at www.saskatchewan.ca/covid19.
