Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 Have Topped Ten Thousand in Manitoba While New Case Numbers Have Dropped in Saskatchewan.

Manitoba Public Health reported this afternoon 434 new cases of COVID-19.  They also reported five additional deaths with three in the Winnipeg Health Region and one each in Interlake Eastern and the Northern Health Region which was a woman in her 40s. With a test positivity rate of 11.6 percent total confirmed cases have now reached 10,216 with 6307 active, 3772 individuals have recovered and 231 are in hospital.  The largest numbers of new cases were again in the Winnipeg region with 260 and Southern Health with 96.  The Northern Health Region reported 28 new cases.

             

Meanwhile Saskatchewan reported 81 new cases of COVID-19 spread across the province with much lower numbers in Regina at 16 and Saskatoon with 5.  The Far North East reported 3 new cases.  Of the total 4513 reported cases 1427 are considered active, 3,057 have recovered and 53 are in hospital with 15 in intensive care.
