The Chamber is Prepared For Another Year.

The Flin Flon and District Chamber of Commerce held their annual general meeting on Zoom Tuesday. They will continue with two Co-Vice Presidents Dianne Russell and Kory Eastman filling the President’s position which they hope to fill, Past President Karen MacKinnon, Treasurer Dave Kendall, Secretary Becky Cianflone and two Members at Large Tom Therien and Laurence Gillespie and they will work to increase this number.

             

Some of the highlights reported include helping to host the Manitoba Chamber’s Economic Development tour in October last year, Flinty statue refurbishment this past summer, annual Radio Auction in October last year raising 75 hundred dollars, Co-Vice-President Dianne Russell took part in the Northern Chambers meeting in August with discussion on tourism, public rest stops along highways for travelers to the north and northern Manitoba government services, ongoing support for Main Street Revitalization, discussion on tourism and promoting the Water and the Wild brand, formation of a Business Relationships Committee with meetings planned with surrounding communities and a Business  Builders Main Street Committee supporting flowers on Main Street and plans for Santa Comes to Main Street, Moonlight Madness and Music on Main Street.

             

Co-Vice-Chair Kory Eastman noted the Chamber has a strong healthy membership.
