129 eligible voters turned out in Denare Beach yesterday to elect six Councillors. Elected were newcomer Nicole Bayless with 98 votes and incumbents Dale Holmgren with 94, Frank Wiegers 87, Beverly Wheeler 84, Karen Thomson 66 and Jean Champagne 58.  Other candidates incumbent Scott McCullum received 55 votes and Paul Trottier 43. Mayor Carl Lentowicz was re-elected by acclamation.

In Creighton 155 eligible voters turned out to also elect six Councillors.  The incumbents were re-elected with Darren Grant receiving 132 votes, Kory Eastman 120, Anita Rainville 116, Neil Andrusiak 109, Dan Hlady 108 and Colleen Stallard 102.  Other candidates Richard Masson received 44 votes and Martyn DeDecker 38.  Mayor Bruce Fidler was re-elected by acclamation.
