Manitobans Have to Change Their Habits or Face Further Restrictions.

Manitoba Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin reported 365 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon.  233 of the cases are in the Winnipeg Region, 91 in Southern Health, 16 each in the Northern Health and Interlake Eastern and nine in Prairie Health Region. He reported three additional deaths with two in Southern Health and one in Winnipeg Health Region. Roussin says he has met with the Premier to discuss further restrictions and will continue to review all options.  He notes we see that in just one week they’ve announced more than two thousand cases so we see these numbers going in the wrong direction and we see increasing demand on our health care system and we’re at a critical point where we have to change these dynamics.

Roussin adds we have the ability to turn these numbers around and we know what we need to do by reducing our contacts.
