Flin Flon has a new city councillor as a by-election took place yesterday at City Hall.

Barry Kreller is the new councillor as he received 353 votes followed by Carrie Hume with 134, Tom Therien with 124, Angela Simpson with 39 and Gatlin Church with 20.

A total of 670 people voted which is 200 more than the last by-election which took place in 2016. Kreller will be sworn in November and his term will go til 2022.

A big thank you to all the people who volunteered at the election office, the City for plowing the parking lot  and Lindsay Shirran for all her work at City Hall.
