School Board Meeting

AS THE NORTHERN HEALTH REGION MOVED TO A LEVEL ORANGE AS OF THIS PAST MONDAY THE DIVISION HAS IMPLEMENTED CHANGES TO TEACHING ACCORDINGLY.

 

STUDENTS ARE NOW SPREAD OUT ACROSS THEIR SCHOOLS MAXIMIZING SPACE. CLASSES ARE NOW BEING TAUGHT IN LIBRARIES AND MULTI-PURPOSE ROOMS. EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES HAVE BEEN PAUSED FOR AT LEAST TWO WEEKS, AND MAY RESUME IF THE REGION CONVERTS BACK TO YELLOW STATUS.

 

.BOARD CHAIR MURRAY SKEAVINGTON AND SUPERINTENDENT TAMMY BALLANTYNE BOTH THANKED THE DIVISIONS ADMINISTRATION TEAM  THIS PAST TUESDAY EVENING FOR ALL THEIR EFFORTS IN PREPARING FOR THE CHANGE. MANY TEACHERS WERE AT THE SCHOOLS OVER THE WEEKEND GETTING READY FOR THE STUDENTS RETURN ON MONDAY.

 

A BIG THANK YOU WAS SENT OUT TO ALL THE FAMILIES, BUSINESS'S AND EVERYONE WHO HAS HELPED OUT IN ANYWAY DURING THESE UNCERTAIN TIMES. PARENTS ARE ASKED TO FREQUENTLY VISIT YOUR CHILDS SCHOOL FACEBOOK PAGE, AND THE DIVISION WEBSITE FOR THE MOST UPDATED INFORMATION.
