Creighton, Denare Beach and other Saskatchewan residents have just over a week left to nominate someone for the Saskatchewan Order of Merit. The award was established in 1985 to recognize excellence, achievement and contribution to the cultural, social and economic well-being of the province.
Nominees must be current or former long-term residents of Saskatchewan. Any individual or group can submit a nomination but it must be for an individual not an organization. Posthumous nominations are accepted within one year of an individual’s death.
The deadline to nominate an individual is November 1st. New this year is nominations can be submitted completely online through the Government of Saskatchewan’s Order of Merit page found at www.saskatchewan.ca/honoursawards.
