New Covid-19 Public Health Orders Will Be Issued For the Northern Health Region Beginning Monday.

Manitoba Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin reported four more COVID-19 related deaths in the province. Three are in the Winnipeg Health Region and one in Interlake Eastern bringing the total to 47 deaths.  He also reported 147 new cases with ten in the Northern Health Region. He added with increasing case counts new public health orders will begin Monday for a minimum of two weeks in the northern Region as it moves into Restricted or the orange zone.  He notes travel restrictions will remain in place and unchanged at this time, it includes reducing gathering sizes, the closure of casinos, bingo halls and entertainment facilities, reduced occupancy for most facilities and increased contact tracing by organizations and businesses.

             

Although schools are doing well restrictions include ensuring social distancing as much as possible, all field trips must be postponed or cancelled and indoor choir and the use of wind instruments are not permitted.
