New Cases of COVID-19 Again Hit High Numbers and There was Another Death in Manitoba.

Manitoba Public Health reported this afternoon a 43rd death related to COVID-19.  It’s a man in his 80s from the Winnipeg Health Region connected to the outbreak at Parkview Place. They also reported 135 new cases with 102 in the Winnipeg Region, 17 in Interlake Eastern, 12 in Southern Health and 4 in the Northern Health Region.  There are now ten active cases in the Thompson Mystery Lake district while The Pas, OCN, Kelsey district remain at four.

             

Of the 3626 reported cases 1774 are active and 1809 individuals have recovered.

 

             

Meanwhile Saskatchewan reported this afternoon 57 new cases of COVID-19.  17 are in North Central, 14 in Saskatoon, 11 in Regina, 7 in Central East, 4 in North East, 2 in Central West and one each in Far North East and North West zones.  Of the total 2496 reported cases 469 are active, 17 people are in hospital with two in intensive care.  Saskatoon’s new cases continue to be primarily linked to outbreaks at local nightclubs.
