Local Projects Continue to Receive Financial Support.

The Flin Flon Credit Union has announced the second round of successful grant recipients for the new Community Enrichment Program.  This round saw 78 hundred dollars go to four projects.  They include 25 hundred dollars for the Pineroot Mural Festival which is a new event focusing on local enhancement, artist development and downtown core revitalization,  25 hundred dollars for Small Business COVID Relief Project to assist in purchasing needed hardware to provide a shared retail storefront for home based business makers to test markets and develop strategies and techniques to eventually grow their businesses independently,  18 hundred dollars for the NorVa Centre to purchase digital art editing software to develop and educate local individuals and entrepreneurs with the use of digital mediums and one thousand dollars for Raven’s Hollow Skoolies Air BnB to assist local entrepreneurs in developing a new and unique BnB experience.

             

This is the first year for the Community Enhancement Program which donates five percent of the Flin Flon Credit Union net income with a minimum ten thousand dollars annually to local economic development and business sustainability projects to assist our area.  The funding deadline for the next year of programming will be April 1st.
