New Cases of COVID-19 Are Back in the Triple Digits in Manitoba While Saskatchewan is up Slightly.

Manitoba Public Health reported this afternoon 109 new cases of COVID-19. 88 of the cases are in the Winnipeg Health Region including outbreaks at a school and three long term care homes in the city.  11 of the new cases are in the Northern Health Region where there are now a total of four cases in The Pas, OCN, Kelsey district and nine in the Thompson Mystery Lake district.  There are seven new cases in Southern Health and two each in Interlake Eastern and Prairie Mountain Health Regions.  Of the total 3491 cases reported 1746 are active, 1703 individuals have recovered and 32 are in hospital with six in intensive care.

             

Meanwhile Saskatchewan Health reported this afternoon 44 new cases of COVID-19. There are 20 in Saskatoon, 7 in North East, 5 in North Central, 3 each in North West and Regina, 2 each in Far North West and Central East and one each in Far North East and South Centra zonesl. Public Health investigations are underway to determine the source of transmissions for all new cases.  With some cases determined out of province the total reported cases stands at 2439 with 427 considered active, 1987 people have recovered and 18 are in hospital with two in intensive care.
