Two Additional Deaths Related to COVID-19 Were Reported in Winnipeg While Saskatchewan New Cases are Spread Across the Province.

Manitoba Public Health Officials announced the 36th and 37th deaths related to COVID-19 this afternoon. One was a man in his 80s and a woman in her 70s both from Winnipeg.  They also announced 146 new cases with 39 of them identified Monday and 107 identified Tuesday.  114 of the cases are in the Winnipeg Health Region, 17 in Southern Health, nine in the Interlake Eastern Health Region, four in the eastern part of the Northern Health Region and two in the Prairie Mountain Health Region.  Of the total 2925 cases reported 1374 are active, 1514 individuals have recovered and 27 are in hospital with three in intensive care.

             

Saskatchewan Health reported this afternoon 25 new cases of COVID-19.  The new cases include seven in the North East, five in North Central, four each in Far North East and Saskatoon, three in Regina and one each in Central East and South East zones.  Of the 2199 reported cases 254 are considered active, 1920 people have recovered and seven are in hospital with one in intensive care.
