Nominations have closed for the Council election in Denare Beach. Carl Lentowicz has been elected by acclamation to another term as Mayor. He has been Mayor since 1997 and only the second Mayor of Denare Beach replacing Fred Schwaga. There are eight candidates for the six seats on Council. They include incumbents Frank Wiegers, Bev Wheeler, Jean Champagne, Dale Holmgren, Karen Thomson and Scott McCullum along with Paul Trottier and Nicole Holmgren-Bayless.
An Advance Poll will be held October 27th from 4 to 8 pm, the regular Election Day Poll will be held November 9th from 9 to 8 both at the Denareplex and a package for voting by mail can be picked up at the Village Office.
In Creighton Bruce Fidler has been re-elected by acclamation continuing in the position he has held for seventeen years. There are eight candidates for six Council positions including incumbents Neal Andrusiak, Kory Eastman, Darren Grant, Dan Hlady, Anita Rainville and Colleen Stallard along with Martin Dedicker and Richard Masson.
Advance polls are October 27th and November 4th from 4 to 8 and the regular Election Poll November 9th from 9 to 8 all at the Creighton Town Office.
