Winnipeg Continues to See Increasing Cases of COVID-19.

Manitoba Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin reported this afternoon 67 new cases of  COVID-19 in the province.  He noted one previously announced case has been removed from the case total bringing the total net number of cases to 66 and the total number of cases to 2344.  He said there is one new case in Prairie Mountain Health Region, six in Southern Health, three cases in Interlake Eastern Health Region and 57 cases in Winnipeg Health Region.

             

Roussin added 863 of the total reported cases are considered active, 1454 people have recovered, 25 people are in hospital with six in intensive care and the total number of deaths stands at 27.

             

He also encourages Manitobans to reduce the number of close contacts outside their household and avoid closed in or crowded places.
