This is Fire Prevention Week and Flin Flon Fire Chief Jason Kuras explains this years theme is safety in the kitchen.  He says it’s very fitting for a year where we have been forced to stay home and use our kitchens a lot more.  He reminds everyone to pay attention while cooking, never leave anything unattended, ensure children know the dangers of hot pots and pans and when using oil and grease always cook at a low temperature to avoid fires.  He concludes your kitchen can be a wonderful place but pay attention and be safe.
