The NorVa Centre is featuring a display of artwork by Catherine Blackburn during Culture Days this month.  Centre manager Mike Spencer encourages everyone to come out and see this special exhibit.  He explains the display is an exhibition called New Age Warriors by Catherine Blackburn who is an artist and designer from English River First Nation.  He says its armour that she’s created with small plastic beads so it’s both traditional technique but also contemporary ideas and materials. He adds it’s a very interesting exhibition and he encourages people to come and see it as they will have it on display for the next two months.

              The display can be viewed at the NorVa Centre at 177 Green Street Tuesday to Friday from 10 to 5 and Saturdays noon to 5.

              There will be limited entry to meet COVID regulations, mask wearing is mandatory, sanitizing stations are available and visitors are reminded not to touch the artwork.
