Reported COVID-19 Cases have Topped Two Thousand in Manitoba.

Manitoba Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin reported this afternoon 36 new cases of COVID-19 in the province.  He says that brings the total number of cases in Manitoba to 2029, two new cases are in Interlake Eastern, four in Prairie Mountain Health Region, two cases in Southern Health and 28 cases in Winnipeg.  He adds they have 621 active cases, 1388 individuals have recovered, 15 people are in hospital seven of which are in intensive care and the current number of deaths related to COVID-19 is at 20.

             

The Health Canada COVID alert app is now available to Manitoba residents and will provide digital COVID-19 exposure alerts once the app is downloaded to a smartphone with the app available at no cost at the Apple or Google Play app stores. Beginning Wednesday non-medical masks will be required in doctor’s offices and community service providers within Manitoba Health Regions.
