The SPCA Continues to Focus on Fundraising This Year.

At the Flin Flon Creighton and Area SPCA 2019 annual meeting last week President Erica Husberg reported they had a much stronger year than 2018.  She noted they were able to keep their expenses down and saw an increase in their income categories with the exception of adoptions but all in all they had a 63 hundred dollar surplus of income versus a 53 thousand dollar loss the previous year.

Husberg reported on the painting of the shelter and the dedication ceremony to honor Debbie Ramsay who was responsible for starting the local SPCA with a plaque hanging at their newly build Catio.  She added they still need to concentrate on their fundraising.

Husberg thanked the Board members for their service with special mention of Secretary Shannon Thompson who has been on the Board since February 2009. They have three positions open on the Board.

Other items reported include during the year their intake was 32 dogs and 32 cats, a bear destroyed their shed and they had a great turnout when they did pet picture with Santa.
