Covid Restrictions Have Been Expanded in the Winnipeg Region.

Manitoba Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin announced 54new cases of COVID-19 in the province this afternoon and that brings the total number of cases in Manitoba to 1764.  He reported there are two from the Prairie Health Region, two cases from Interlake Eastern Health Region, two cases from the Northern Health Region, four cases from Southern Health Region and 44 cases in the Winnipeg Health Region.

             

487 cases are active, 1258 individuals have recovered and 13 are in hospital with six in intensive care.  The two cases reported in the Northern Region are on the eastern side of the Region.

             

Public Health officials are elevating the Pandemic Response Level for the Winnipeg Metropolitan Region to Restricted or orange.  As of Monday and for the next four weeks masks will be mandatory there in all indoor public places and public gathering will be restricted to ten indoors and outdoors.
