A COVID-19 Fine Has Been Issued in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan Health reported this afternoon five new cases of COVID-19.  Two of the cases are in the Saskatoon zone and one each in Central West, Regina and South Central zones.  That brings the total number of cases reported to 1835, 130 are considered active, 1681 people have recovered and eight people are in hospital.

             

They also note public health officials are seeing increasing transmission rates particularly as a result of public and private gatherings.  Not following public health orders can lead to fines of 2 thousand dollars for individuals and 10 thousand for corporations plus a victim charge.  A 2 thousand dollar fine has been issued to an individual following public health’s review of their contact investigation that determined the individual did not self isolate when symptomatic.
