A 19th Death Related to COVID-19 Has Been Reported in Manitoba.

Manitoba Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin announced this afternoon 37 new cases of COVID-19.  He reported a 19th death related to COVID-19 which is a female in her 90s in the Winnipeg Health Region and this is linked to the outbreak at the Parkview Place Personal Care Home.  He adds there is one new case in the Prairie Mountain Health Region, four cases in the Interlake Eastern Health Region, two cases in Southern Health and 30 cases in the Winnipeg Health Region.  There are 449 active cases, 1243 individuals have recovered and 11 people are in hospital six of which are in intensive care.

             

Roussin noted the total number of reported cases in the province is now 1711.
