The Flin Flon School Board Heard How Well Students Have Adjusted to Back to School.

Superintendent Tammy Ballantyne reports she recently had the opportunity to tour all schools and was very impressed at what she saw.  Staff and students seem to have adjusted well to the new normal.  Ruth Betts spent this first week of school getting students back to a safe routine practicing proper hand washing and mask wearing.  Yesterday the grade fives participated in the socially distanced Terry Fox walk supporting Terry and the fight against cancer.  Students in McIsaac are also adjusting well to the new routines and expectations.  The French Immersion students have kept up their language skills over the summer break and the music and band teachers are utilizing an online program called Music Play which they are enjoying.  The McIsaac Student Council will hold their meetings virtually.

Board Chair Murray Skeavington advised parents to visit your child’s school website, their Facebook pages and the Divisions website for complete school updates.  The Board continues to discuss extra-curricular activities and asked for patience as the year has just gotten underway and they are still in the process of making sure everything is running smoothly.
