The Number of New Covid-19 Cases Continues to Grow in Southern Manitoba While New Cases are Low in Saskatchewan.

Manitoba Public Health reported this afternoon 42 new cases of COVID-19.  30 of the cases are in the Winnipeg Health Region, six in Southern Health, three in Prairie Mountain Health, two in the Interlake Eastern Health and one in Northern Health Region.  Three schools in the south have confirmed cases including Gladstone Elementary, St. Maurice and Emerson Schools.  These are considered low risk and the infections were not acquired at school. The provincial total of reported cases is now 1674 with 418 active, 1239 individuals have recovered and 11 are in hospital.

             

Meanwhile Saskatchewan Health reported six new cases this afternoon with three in Regina, two in Saskatoon and one in Central West zone.  That brings the total reported cases to 1830 with 133 active, 1673 people have recovered and nine are in hospital.  They also note the number of active cases in communal living settings is now very low.
