It Was a Significant Day in Our Schools.

Manitoba Education Minister Kelvin Goertzen says a lot of people took part in preparing for back to school.  He praised teachers, administrators and staff for the work done to prepare the schools for the new school year and parents who prepared the students for going back.  Goertzen says there will be COVID in schools because there’s COVID in society.  He says he believes that Public Health and school officials are going to do a very good job when they find cases within the schools, reacting to those cases and isolating those cases ensuring they don’t spread more broadly.

Goertzen adds parents should feel confident in the back to school plan as it was developed in consultation and approved by Public Health officials who will recommend further measures if they are needed.
