New Cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan Remain Low.

Saskatchewan Health reported seven new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon.  There were three in the Regina, two in North Central and one each in the Saskatoon and South Central Zones.  The total reported cases stands at 1669 with 58 considered active, 1587 people have recovered and one person is in hospital in intensive care in Saskatoon.

             

The Saskatchewan government has announced 51 million dollars in approved funding for classrooms with emergent, one-time expenses associated with a safe return to school.  Of that total 42 million comes from provincial funding and 10 million represents the remaining school division savings.  As a result of this funding a total of 443 custodial support, teachers and staff are expected to be hired.
