On Sunday Manitoba Public Health Officials reported a case of COVID-19 in the Northern Health Region was in the Flin Flon, Snow Lake, Cranberry Portage Sherridon District. It is now listed as unknown district although Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin says it is in this District and they did the typical contact investigation and there weren’t any concerning contacts and has no further details on the case. He also released the latest provincial numbers this afternoon. He reported 11 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total cases in Manitoba to 1349. There’s one case in the Interlake Eastern Health Region, two in Southern Health and eight cases in the Winnipeg Region. He added there are 393 active cases, 940 individuals have recovered and 13 are in hospital with three in intensive care.
As students, teachers and staff return to school public health officials strongly encourage all Manitobans to return to the fundamentals to help stop the spread of COVID-19 including physically distancing when outside your household and if you can’t physically distance wear a mask.
