COVID-19 Has Come to the North in Manitoba While Saskatchewan Active Cases Remain Low.

Manitoba Public Health reported 50 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend and 15 on Monday. One of the cases reported on Sunday was in the Northern Health Region a woman in her 60’s in the Flin Flon, Snow Lake, Cranberry Portage Sherridon District and the first case in the District since March. The largest number of cases reported over the three days was in the Winnipeg Health Region with a total of 34.  That brings the provincial total of reported cases to 1338 with 412 active, 910 recovered and 13 in hospital with three in intensive care.

             

Meanwhile Saskatchewan Health reported five new cases Saturday and eight on Sunday bringing their total to 1651 reported cases. There were six cases in Saskatoon, two each in South Central and Central East and one each in the North West, Regina and South East Zones. Of the total 48 are considered active, 1579 people have recovered and one person is in hospital in intensive care in Saskatoon.
